The Syrian families we are helping to resettle in Ipswich have been through so much – a brutal war, forced displacement, the loss of family, friends, and everything safe and familiar. They have been selected because they have particular vulnerabilities and needs. We are proud to be able to give them a helping hand on their first few steps to recovery. But we also know that they will make a great contribution to our community with a little initial support. As refugees elsewhere in the world have their hopes of a new life suddenly taken from them, our Syrian Resettlement Coordinator, Abbie, spoke to Radio Suffolk recently about our continuing work to rebuild lives.
