With Refugee Week 2015 (15-21 June) fast approaching, we are pleased to announce a full programme of events in Suffolk. Refugee Week is an annual national event that aims to highlight the contribution made by refugees to UK society and encourage greater understanding of why people are forced to seek sanctuary. The theme this year is ‘celebrate’ and we’re doing so by staging a week-long exhibition of artwork by refugees who have made Suffolk their home. There will also be screenings of the film Leave to Remain at Ipswich Film Theatre, an installation at Landguard Fort in Felixstowe that brings home the reality of refugee experiences, and much more.
