We were delighted to have the opportunity recently to speak to the Ipswich Arts Association on ‘A History of Refugees in Ipswich’ as part of their Town Lectures & Concerts series. There was an impressive turnout of nearly 140 people to hear us cover four centuries of refugees – from Huguenots through Jewish refugees to the present day – and the mark they have left on the town. We are hoping to deliver this talk again soon, so to be kept informed and receive an invitation, sign up to our mailing list here.
P.S. If you know of a local, historical refugee story we may not be aware of, please do let us know!
