It’s been a busy few weeks at SRS, with the latest arrivals of Syrian families under the resettlement scheme, and summer events coming thick and fast! We must pass on an enormous thank you to all the pupils (and staff) at Halifax Primary School for showing such compassion and understanding with the welcome cards they designed for refugees coming to Ipswich. A big thank you too to Oyster Press, Ipswich Library and all involved in the Eye for Ipswich exhibition, which gave a number of our clients the chance to express themselves so positively through printmaking, and to see the public admiring their work on display.
We’ve also had a glorious garden party for our International Women’s Group, and tickled taste buds with the Kurdish food cooked by our clients for the ActivLives Big Garden Party. More details to follow in our next newsletter!
